Rockstar Games brought the gaming world the LA Noire: The VR Case files to the PC back in 2017. Many loved this game, but thought after a few DLC drops, it wouldn’t be spoken of again. Many were wrong.

The studio brought the game to the PSVR platform in September last year in a surprise launch. In that game launch, they included some new DLC. Mini games, exclusive for the PlayStation, that gave the users something to do once they finished all of the files. This update didn’t come to the PC though, until today.

PC players that own LA Noire can now shoot their way through a handful of mini games that were once exclusive to the PSVR platform.

There are three mini games that are coming in this update, all of which that are free. You can box, race, and practice your sharpshooting skills. You can check them out below.

  • Boxing: Step into the ring as Cole Phelps and take on 12 different opponents
  • Speedcar Racing: Race classic 1940’s “Speedcar” vehicles against AI opponents on three new dirt tracks
  • Shooting Galleries: Keep your eye in with target practice in four different shooting galleries, each with their own challenges, targets and weapons

In the update, the studio also said they have improved support for the Valve Index, Vive Pro, Vive Pro Eye, Vive Cosmos and Oculus Rift S VR hardware. This is important, as thousands are trying to find a game that they can play to pass the time until the big release of Half-Life: Alyx. This is going to be a great year in VR gaming.

LA Noire isn’t the best game in the world, but it certainly gets the job done if you are wanting to be a detective in the mid 1990’s LA. some may argue that Rockstar games bit off a little more they could chew with this game, but looking at other games released in the same time of 2017, this game is respectable.

It isn’t going to blow you away, its not going to inspire to throw a party in celebration of it, but it will entertain you with a headset for a few good hours. VR gaming since then has taken off, and we are certainly in a new era of immersive gaming. For ore VR news and gaming community updates, make sure to check back at VRGear.com
