Google Tilt Brush might be one of the best consumer VR creation apps on the market. First coming to PC VR headsets back in 2016, this has become one of the most popular apps in the world. Although some other might be more functional or have more artistic input, this app has maintained an audience for the better part of four years.

All of this fame and popularity has happened without it being available to possibly the largest market of VR gamers, the PlayStation VR community. Google Tilt Brush seems like it is finally on its way to PSVR.

In a recent scrape of the PSN site from Gamstat, there has been listing not yet posted for Tilt Brush for America, Europe, and Japanese regions. Each game inside of PlayStation ecosystem have their own game URL, and Gamstat may have just found the Google Tilt Brush. You can check those out below.

Gamstat also scraped an image that seems like the game is coming this year. Although the game is developed by Google, it will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This has yet to be announced by Google or Sony, but it seems like the official launch and reveal could be coming very soon.

Tracking

The first thing you likely thought of when hearing the news was the tracking with the PSVR headset, or the lack of it. The PlayStation virtual reality headset is only tracked by two cameras that are connected on the same five-inch bar. The tracking is very minimal and only can track your headset and controllers when facing towards the front.

If you have played inside of Google Tilt Brush before, you know that it is a full 360° 3D space. This is where you need 6DoF more than ever. It is unsure how Sony is going to mitigate the less-than-optimal tracking with their headset, but we are certain they have found a way.

There are a few things to give hope here. The game is being published by Sony themselves, meaning they likely took some time to ensure this game would not only be playable on this platform, but something many want to jump into. Google also had to pass the requirements for a game on this platform, which has proven to not be an easy thing to do in the past.

We are certain that Sony and Google won’t be releasing a game with terrible tracking and a game that gives first-time users a bad taste in their mouths. They likely found a way to make this work, but we are going to be sitting on our hands until they release it. There’s no news as of a release date.

The game will likely be sold fo $19.99, the same price you can catch it on any other virtual store, including the newly released Quest version. For more VR news and gaming community updates, make sure to check back at VRGear.com
