If you have been on a PC and playing first person shooter games for a few years, you have likely played the popular game Special Force. The game first debuted in 2004, and since then has taken a life of its own. With availability in over 100 countries, multiple spin-offs, and new sequels, this game is something that nearly everyone has tried at least once. At the end of the week, all PC VR headsets are going to get their first shot at this popular game.

Available on August 8th, this game will be released with the title of Special Force VR: Infinity War, and will continue to be the game it once was while adding a new fun and immersive experiences to the classic. This game is going to give virtual reality users a new exciting way to competitively play VR games, and that is exactly what the developers wanted to do here. Made by Dragonfly and Reality MagiQ, Special Force VR is going to be inclusive while painting a fun edge of competitiveness.

The way the developers went about this task is putting much of the games complex features on auto. This allows the users to be solely in charge of aiming and firing, which puts a fun arcade feel onto the game. This allows the VR users of this game to focus on action-based combat, and not about managing the valuable resources in this game.

Automatic Adjustments

One of the best thing that happened for this game in VR is reloading. A once complex task for PC and VR users, reloading has been simplified to a point of convince in Special Force. To reload in this game, all you need to do is unload your empty clip with your free hand, and watch the magic happen. The new clip will be inserted automatically and you will be ready to go to war. To reload a before you start fighting someone, you still will be able to pull a half-used clip out and a new one will be put in its place. It is an easy process for something that can sometimes be overcomplicated inside of your virtual headset.

Unlike other other combat and shooting games inside of VR, when you are done with a weapon and needing to switch to the next, instead of strapping it to your body, you can simply click the Vive button on the controllers. This makes for switching weapons a much more natural and quick, making the game even easier and more fun than any other FPS in VR.

Just like the the original game, each player will have the option to customize their load out and maximize it with the specifications of their choice. In here you will also be able to communicate with your team about what load outs each player will have while making a strategy for how you will go about your killing inside of the game.

Matches

For the matches inside of VR you are going to have up to 8 players in one match. You are going to have three different types of matches in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Demolition. The regular Deathmatch you are going to be alone while trying to take down the enemy, and Team Deathmatch and Demoliton will be based with teams of 4.

We are excited for the public to get their hands on this game, and even more excited for a chance to play it on the new Valve Index. With finger tracking technology inside of the new Valve controllers, the gameplay of a good FPS will be great to have.
