After pulling out of the Game Developer Conference (GDC), Oculus and Facebook are still planning to host online showcases for some of the newer virtual reality games. This isn’t going to be a massive video conference full of crazy VR announcements, but it will be a series of videos and blog posts that highlight some of the newest game on the market right now.

The games that will be highlighted are Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, Lies Beneath, The Room VR: A Dark Matter, and Phantom: Covert Ops

These games will be receiving new trailers, new footage, and new announcements. Some of the games have yet to be released, and some are already released. It will be interesting to see how much focus Oculus gives each game. These games are usually up for demo at the regular GDC, but since this is all digital, we should be expecting more gameplay than a typical trailer.

Along with the game showcases, Oculus is looking to show off three new videos covering different topics that were being planned for the DGC dev talks. Each of these are something that everyone wants to hear about. You can check those out below.

  • -VR Business Best Practices
  • -The Future of Playing Together and Where Multiplayer Is Going in VR
  • -Best Practices For Launching Games on Oculus

Is Oculus going to give us an inside look any their plans for VR business? Unlikely, but with so many people working remotely for the next month or so, we could see Oculus give a few pointers to getting work done inside of VR. Although there are some certain roadblocks with input right now, we could see the industry get creative in the coming weeks and months.

This isn’t the only announcements coming from the company. You can expect more and more to trickle out. This is only making up for the GDC, and not much more. There is still a lot of ground to make up. For more VR news and gaming community updates, make sure to check back at VRGear.com
