Bait! (free, in-app purchases)

This is a simple fishing game in VR, but there are plenty of places to see. Collect all of the gear as you fish all around the globe. It is one of the easiest game to get in to, and the simplicity always has you coming back.

Coaster Combat ($4.99)

It is now almost common knowledge to stay away from VR games that even have the slightest idea of a roller coaster, but this game is definitely an exception. Not only is the physics and realness of it capturing, but you can take out enemies on the way to an ending of a great track. A fun feature is that you’ll never have the same exact track twice.

Drop Dead ($9.99)

Any person that has scrolled through an app store with a VR headset on, they’ve either seen or played a first person zombie game. It’s the bread and butter for new developers. With that being said, Drop Dead gets more than the job done. You can not only travel through time, but you can travel through time co-op. It’s a fun one for the friends.

Face Your Fears (Free)

If you turn the concept of black mirror into a horror film, and really harness those powers, you have Face Your Fears. All different people have different fears, and this game will having you play until you want to rip the headset off.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes ($9.99)

You know the team building exercise of talking to your teammate and describing to them what is in front of them? This game is that, but on a more fun level. Basically that game on steroids. A few drinks and a large group of friends, this game is going to be the life of the party.

Ocean Rift ($9.99)

This isn’t as much as a game as it is an interactive underwater safari and zoo. This game is awesome, but it’ll leave you wanting to go to a bigger and better real aquarium. This is a great way to introduce people to VR.

Virtual Virtual Reality ($9.99)

No I didn’t type that twice. Okay I did type it twice, but I really did mean to. Thats the actual name of the game. This game throws us into a not too distant future of us living in a virtual, virtual reality. Its one of the most polished and well rounded games that has everything in it, but before you know it, the ride is over.

VR Karts: Sprint ($7.99)

Who doesn’t love some good Mario cart? This isn’t what you’re getting in this game, but you are getting some good quality first-person racing while being limited by the Go. Multiplayer is solid, and the physics are bad at all. Gets the job done.

Wands ($9.99)

While a real Harry Potter VR game seems forever away, Wands is taking car of business in the magic department. This is a like player vs player spell casting game in which you’ll be constantly teleporting and working on defeating your opponent.

The Well (4.99)

One of the genres that is falling a bit behind on the Oculus Go is the RPG. We already have a plethora of puzzle games, rhythm games, and shooters. What we don’t have is tons of role playing games, especially with story progression that matches the character progression. The Well takes care of this. Some of the most stunning graphics and artwork on any headset, this game will take you with it.

AltspaceVR (Free)

AltspaceVR is one of the first apps on the Go that is social networking. It lets you have hangouts, live chats, play rooms, video rooms, and even talking to real people in person. The Oculus Go is now one of the best ways to meet up with people through VR, and of course this network is cross-platform.

Bigscreen (Free)

As the time is now, you cant be hosting rooms from your Go, but you’re free to join rooms with any PC VR host. You can stream anything from TV, movies, and games. Anything you want to stream, you really can. There is also a remote that allows you to control from inside the headset. It really is essential.

Oculus Rooms (Free)

All Oculus Go users will already have this installed by default, but it still is one of the best ways to meet up with people. You can decorate your room, floor, walls, and even pick photos from your phone to match up with people on the headset. This really gives the game an extra layer of personalization, making you want to call it your own. And all from this room, you can stream just like Bigscreen, but all with your friends there because you’re the host in this network.

vTime (Free)

Instead of trying to copy exactly what every other VR social network does, vTime simply focuses on how to make it seem like talking face to face would be. But in VR. Being cross platform including its avatars, this is one of the best networks for speaking to others face to face.

Facebook 360 (Free)

This app is exclusively made to capture and experience the gorgeous views of the 360 content Facebook has put out there. VR is the best way to experience this, and this app will not let you down.

Gala – 360 (Free)

This is and should be the go-to tourism and exploring app for VR. This is once again a great app for beginners to the VR realm, showing off what capabilities it all has. They’ve done a great job at putting these shots into an app that has great continuity.

Guided Meditation VR (Free)

This is a little off the rails from your basic VR non game on the GO, but if you’re looking to get away from everyone just for a little, this guided way to relax will leave you feeling like you just took a page out of a yoga class.

Henry (Free)

If you haven’t seen the video above yet, and you have the Oculus Go, stop what youre reading to go watch this film. It has an Emmy to its name and its no coincidence. As your heart breaks, you’ll realize how precious it all is. It is almost too crisp for VR, but one of the more impressive ones for sure.

Netlfix (Free, requires subscription)

I really should not have to do too much explain on this one. Netflix? Its a staple in todays world, and who doesn’t want to be fully immersed into the show that they cant seem to watch enough episodes. Download Netflix!

Oculus Apps (Free)

This app needs to be downloaded, and I am shocked it wasn’t automatically. It will provide high-quality 360 content, and bring most of your Tv services right to you, wherever you decide to be using your Go.

Wander ($5.99)

With no official Google Earth VR app on the Oculus Go, this is the next best thing to being able to literally wander the world. Wander will let you go just about anywhere in this world with a shocking 360 view of all of that. Learn some history and then jump to Madison Square Garden, and finish your day with some surfing in Hawaii.

Within (Free)

Within already has a strong reputation of being one of the best 360 pictures in the Vr realm, and this game only bolsters their great history. With everything from short stories to documentaries, this app will have you looking everywhere for more inside of it, with how good the content is.
