OhShape is a virtual reality dancing and rhythm game that has been on the market for a few months now. It has been in early access this entire time, meaning that you could play the game while it was still being developed with the finishing touches. The idea was inspired by the Japanese TV show ‘Hole in the Wall’ and has blossomed into a virtual game that many love.

To complete each level in this game, you will be tasked with changing the shape your body is in as the walls come at you. This will force you to move around and make some moves throughout your gameplay, something very few video games force you to do. This game is not only going to be forcing you to get up and move, but it is also going to force you to have fun inside of VR, something many people forget about.

Leaving early access doesn’t necessarily change much, and we have yet to learn what this means for the game. OhShape is priced at $14.99, something we think is already fair for the game you will be buying. They haven’t notified the public on any sort of update, and we doubt they will do that for a couple more days if there is an update on its way. We are eager to see what the full version of OhShape has that the early access version didn’t, as we believe the studio has something up its sleeve.

This game can be purchased on both the SteamVR Store as well as the Oculus Store. It is playable on all PC VR headsets as well as the Oculus Quest. This is the perfect game to get you up and moving, so getting it on your Quest is a fantastic idea when you are thinking of burning a few more calories inside of virtual reality.

If you are interested in the last notes we have received about the latest OhShape update, you can check those out below. This is the last “big” update from the studio for the game, and it is full of great information.

  • Added Custom songs
  • New UI design
  • New walls and old walls improved
  • Some easy levels improved
  • New configuration menu
  • Added ‘Speed’ option
  • Added ‘Accuracy’ option
  • Added ‘No fail’ option
  • Added ‘Small room’ option
  • Added ‘Volume’ option
  • Added in-game ‘Pause’ menu
  • Stage improved
  • OpenVR improvements: hands, inputs & haptics
  • Scoring system updated

All of these updates seem like something that should have been added more than a month ago, but it is important to note that this game was still in early access with no departure date when this massive update hit the game. We shouldn’t expect an update with this much size and quality of gameplay to hit us on Friday the 13th, but we should be something somewhat special when the full version of OhShape is released.
