Yes, you read that right. There is another free update coming to your Arizona Sunshine title. If you are still recovering from the horror that the Old Mine Update gave you, we understand. Once you are recovered, you are going to love the free Undead Valley that has now been released for free on your Oculus Quest! This update went live just yesterday, and should be available once connected to internet.

This new update puts not only a new map in your game, but a fresh spin with a new set of challenges and skills to unlock. You will be right outside of Sin City in this map. You will be in a transport warehouse that is going to force you to escape if you have any hope of escaping with all four limbs. Finding weapons and ammo in this map won’t be as easy as you think either.

The Old Mine Update brought verticality to the game and some more space. The Undead Valley update is going to be a bit different. You will need to explore more than before. This will force you to find more weapons, ammo, keys to doors, and even new areas to fight in. You’ll need to get good with explosives too, as that will be one of the only ways to get past some doors for hidden loot.

This update is promised be the hardest level yet. If you are interested in getting out of here alive, your effort will need to be unparalleled while inside of the Undead Valley. If you are looking for a few tips and tricks, Oculus wrote some up. This was in collaboration with the developers to deliver the best advice to their players.

SURVIVAL TIPS

  1. Keep your head on a swivel. Freddies can show up from all corners, windows and open areas.
  2. Explore! Open up the additional rooms as soon as possible if you want better equipment for maximum survival and more tactical positions as you go.
  3. They keep coming… again. Just like in the Mine, Freddies will keep spawning even after clearing a wave. Use the warehouse to your advantage.
  4. Always bring your friends. There’s a lot to explore, so having a friend (or three) to watch your back wouldn’t be a bad idea at all.

Oculus, inside of their blog post, said that “While you sharpen your survival skills with the Undead Valley update, we’re getting ready to deliver another bite to Arizona Sunshine on Oculus Quest. Next up is the Arizona Sunshine prequel Dead Man DLC, taking place in the final days before the zombie outbreak. If you already own this expansion in the Oculus Store, it will be available with cross-buy support. For a reminder of what else is to come, check out the content roadmap below.”

This horde mode won’t be the last, but right now it is most certainly the best. For more VR news and gaming community updates, make sure to check back here at VRGear.com
