AT&T stadium is the Madison Square Garden of the NFL. This stadium hosts America’s Team at least eight times a year, and is home to some of the greatest moments in sports history. This season, the Dallas Cowboys have implanted an experience for the fans that will allow them to strike a pose and take a picture with their favorite players on the team. This new experience inside the arena is called Pose With the Pros

The recently 5G enabled AT&T stadium is giving fans something most don’t have the chance to receive. A picture with the biggest stars in the league and a chance to get the picture forever. This is much better than receiving a souvenir like a hat, cup, or even a high-end jersey. This AR photo experience launched this last weekend when the team squared off against the rebuilding New York Giants.

This touch screen interface is located right in the middle of the 80,000 seat stadium and is free to anyone with a ticket. You will be able to cycle through a handful of well-known Cowboys players and watch them come on to the screen to snap a photo with you. In this time you will be standing next to the player(s) of your choice while trying to look as strong as possible.

The players that are available during the game for the photo shoot are quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott, wide receivers Amari Cooper and Randall Cobb, center Travis Frederick, linebackers Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch, and right guard Zack Martin. Each of these players are stars not only in the state of Texas, but across the nation for their skills.

Once you pick at most five players to pose with, the screen will turn into selfie mode and the players will walk into the frame. The countdown will begin and the picture will be taken. After that, the touch interface will allow the users to enter their information for the picture to be sent. Along with that, the users will be able to share it on social media from the kiosk itself.

This isn’t the only 5G experience that Jerry Jones has invested in for his newly remodeled stadium. Last weekend, we saw a handful of 5G experiences including 36-foot tall 3D renditions of various players standing over the stadium, 3D animations of players doing touchdown dances for you to dance with, and of course the AR data that is displayed through the Galaxy S10 that are located throughout the arena. The Dallas Cowboys have been trend setters for the NFL for some time, and this future tech only propels their brand ahead of others once more.

Mo Katibeh, the Chief Marketing Officer got AT&T business said that “These new fan experiences and the opportunities for the Dallas Cowboys organization are exactly why we’re excited to bring 5G to one of the largest, most technologically advanced entertainment venues in the world.”

He went on to say that “We’re combining the physical and digital worlds to create a world-class experience for fans, and sports provide a perfect example of how our business-first 5G strategy will bring value to consumers. We’re paving the way for how immersive fan experiences could be built in venues across the country as our 5G network continues to grow.”

The Cowboys are playing away from home this week against the Redskins, but they will be home against the Miami Dolphins for their week three matchup. For more VR and AR news, make sure to check back at VRGear.com
