In recent weeks we have heard our fair share of Vader Immortal Rumors. From being able to be Darth Vader, to having your own child in this game, the rumors have made their rounds, and it is time to put a stop to them. Ben Snow, the director of Vader Immortal has revealed more and new information about this upcoming episode of the game. In fact, this is going to be more of a film-based episode, but interaction for gamers is going to be heavy as always.

In the first installment of this game you are going to be doing a bit of parkour and sneaking around to complete your mission, all while battling stormtroopers with your brand new lightsaber. After a great deal of fighting along the sides of the new Sith lords, your lightsaber will break at the hands of a horde of droids. Worry not, you are promised to learn the new ways of the force, as this is the last scene in the episode.

According to Snow in an interview at this last years comic-con, episode 2 is going to be the time where you fully harness the powers of the force. This is an exciting time for anyone that played the first episode and anyone else that is interested in using the force.

During the interview snow stated that “You will get to use the Force in Episode II. The first image is really part of the training. The way we thought about this was, we wanted to give you the Vader equivalent of Yoda teaching Luke about the Force in Empire Strikes Back. So we wanted it to be slightly darker and more twisted. He talks about the power of the dark side as well as the things you can do with the Force. So in this moment that the concept art reveals, you see him starting to manipulate objects and he’s starting to show you how you can use the Force to create something. But then, of course, Vader takes it in his own direction.” He went on to say “That is something that we’re still working really hard on. To make it feel as good as we can. Our goal is to make the Force in Episode II as satisfying as the lightsaber felt in Episode I.”

If they are able to make the force just as good as the lightsaber was, this game is going to be nothing short of spectacular. The lightsaber feels like it has almost been mastered by the end of episode 1, so the we can expect the force to be the same in episode 2. Many people have been wondering what the roe of the Black Bishop will be going forward in this story, and Snow answered those questions by saying “He becomes quite important in Episode II, and we learn about his background. We’re trying to make it feel very atmospheric. This is a hidden area of the fortress that hasn’t really been explored. The Mustafarians know of it through legend. It’s a good chance to poke around in an unexplored part of Star Wars.”

We can expect episode 2 to be the same $10 that we saw the first episode as, and if it is its going to be hard not to buy. Vader Immortal is one of the best games exclusive to Oculus and because of the new chapters going forward, we can expect this game to be a staple for the months and years to come. If the force is being debuted as early as episode 2, we are excited to see what episode 3 has in store for us.
