Two weeks ago we saw the video game hit Sairento get a free weekend on the PSVR platform. Many were able to play for the first time, and if it wasn’t your first time because you already owned the title, everything you did received double points. This was a fun weekend for many PlayStation owners, and Oculus is set to get the same treatment starting tomorrow.
Oculus is offering the free weekend of Sairento after seeing how well it did on the PSVR platform. This means that you can download the game on Friday morning, and it will delete on Sunday night. If you already own the game or decide to buy it anytime through the weekend of free, you are going to be rewarded double points. With those you can choose to spend them on anything you wish to inside of the game. Keep in mind that if you do choose to download this game, you care going to fall in love view quick. We believe that Sairento is one of the best games on the market right now for both shooting and sword fighting, and it has the ability to keep you inside of VR for hours on end.
In this game you are given missions to complete as each one has an array of different challenges and players to defeat. You will need to use you wide-ranging skill set to put an end to your enemies, and you will need to use every weapon that is available to you. The developers of this game did a fantastic job of making sure each of these weapons were showcased.
Once you dabble your feet inside of the virtual Sairento world, you feel right at home. The controls feel easy and real and the physics in the game are second to none. This game is somewhat like Robo Recall, but it clearly has an edge. Robo Recall and Sairento are two completely different games, but in the similarities they share, Sairento wins every single time.
The weapons all feel like you have been training with them your entire life. Each one of them feels right at home when you grasp it into your hand. One of my favorite features of this game is the gripping of weapons. In games like Robo Recall and many other first person shooter games, you need to keep your hand on the grip button the entirety of your use of the gun. In Sairento: Untethered you only need to keep the grip of the controller held down while you are picking the weapon up. After that you are free to release the button while maintaining the grip of the virtual gun.
If you are going to be playing this game on the Oculus Rift S, note that the sensors have a hard time when the controllers are by or near your waist. When drawing your guns without looking down, you are going to be expecting some difficulties. One of the more questionable parts of this game was putting your third gun on the lower side of your back. I understand that both shoulders are taken by your melee weapons and your hips are taken by your guns, but there had to be a better place to put your third gun. The lower back is the least tracked place inside of virtual reality.
Overall this game is something that you are going to want to play for the weekend if you have the opportunity. Sairento VR has long been recognized as one of the best VR games on the market, and you would be silly to not play it every chance you get.
