While aspiring to be the best tank game on the market, TankVR is going to need some real help to get there. It’s not an easy feat, but it looks to accomplish it soon.
Developer Daniel Bedrich launched a Kickstarter campaign for the high hoping game. Unlike many tank VR games, this isn’t a third party viewing of the game and tank you are controlling. TankVR puts you as the person inside of tank right in the cockpit, as if you were the man controlling this war beast.
It is released on Early Access right now, and it is single player only. The plan is to not only make it multi-player, but to make it so your teammates can control different parts of your tank, making it a true and versatile war machine. Although that seems like a near perfect idea, the game is far perfect and looks a little worse than rough around the edges.
With all that being said, Bedrich is hoping to raise a generous $77,338 through crowd funding. This amount would let him finish the game and and multiple crews inside a single game made, making it a true competitive multiplayer game.
Currently you can receive a copy of the Early Access with a $5 pledge, or you can simply buy the game on Steam for the same price.
