Yesterday we saw Steam announce their annual summer discount sale (for those who neglect the outdoors while it is too hot to function). The discounts will very from game to game, although most discounts will be pretty large, usually on the larger side of 25%.
If you’re looking for the next big game, or the next immersive virtual reality world to get yourself lost in, look no further than the summer sale for Steam and their VR-supported games. Most of the games here will be enough to keep you entertained for hours on end.
SteamVR will let you know which games are compatible with which PC headsets, but over 90% will work both on the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. The Valve Index, which will be shipping this week, will support many of the games as well. Windows Mixed Reality headsets are spotty, but expect a good handful of games to be supported as well for those headsets.

This game not only has a Vr version, but it has a fantastic mobile and desktop version as well. The first time I played this game it was on mobile, and having played it in virtual reality, I can happily say that the VR version is much better. As you learn the beat and the best way to go about it, you’ll fall in love.
SuperHot VR $15
SuperHot has not only been a staple in VR for sometime, but it has been on the top charts for every platform. No matter where you are playing this hit game, you are going to love it. With it 50% off for the remainder of the summer, this is a great buy. You won’t find prices like this for this kind of game anywhere else.
Creed: Rise to Glory $18
In this game you are going to be in the body of Adonis Creed for the story mode, and almost whoever’s body for the free play mode. This is one of the best locomotion engines on the market. When you mix that with the amazing tracking of the Rift and Vive, this game makes a compelling argument for being the best game on the market. We can say without a doubt that this is the best fighting VR game that Steam has to offer, and it is coming at you for a bargain price this summer.
Pavlov $6
This game is the best FPS virtual reality has to offer for the time being. Although it is making its way to the Oculus Quest soon, we are seeing it come at a fantastic price this summer through steam. There isn’t too much to say that you don’t already know about this game. The graphics are great, the locomotion engines are futuristic, and the gameplay feels never ending. If you’re looking for an entertaining yet violent game, watch the trailer below.
Sairento $21
This game is usually $30, and the developers have been stingy about not letting any discounts happen. So seeing this game 30% off is somewhat of a miracle.
