nimSony is a one man VR developing company, and it has been a while since he has made any news. His latest preview of what he has been doing has clearly taken some time as he has made the best Spider-Man physics we have ever seen inside of virtual reality.

The sandbox game he has made is purely physics right now, yet it is purely awesome. One of the biggest improvements from the regular games is the inclusion of hands in this app. In this Spidy app your hands are a real object as they cannon pass through walls, other objects, and are used for much of the physics you will be feeling.

Your hands in this game (much like a spiders), are going to very sticky. You are going to be able to pull yourself up with just one hand and you are going to be able to launch yourself to a wall and only use one hand to stick to yourself there. This game is very similar to Spider-Man Far From Home VR, but in the end this at-home edges it out. Of course it is just a demo in beta and still needs to be polished, but that will be the easiest part of the game. Check out the graphics and physics below in nimSony’s video of the game.

As you can see in the video above, the webs that you are going to shoot from your hands are actually attached to your hands. Although this goes without being noticed in other games, having real hands that work inside of VR is a very immersive step in your game. Not many game developers are going the extra mile to incorporate games that are inclusive of your hands and how they would actual respond inside of your virtual reality.

If you watched the full video, you saw that there was some bad moments and some rough spots, but that is expected with a game this early on. What we are focused on here is the amazing physics of this game. You are going to be slinging webs across Manhattan, you are going to want the best graphics and physics possible. It isn’t enough to be able to stick to a wall and float there anymore. All gamers are looking for a real new way to swing that feels like the real Spider-Man.

There was no objective in this game demo, but it wasn’t necessary to show one. We are hoping that if this game gets the Marvel stamp of approval, the storyline can be much better than the Far From Home edition of Spidy in VR. That game held about 7 minutes of gameplay that wasn’t free roaming, and it simply wasn’t enough. Given that the game (experience) was a free one, we can’t complain too much, but we still expect more from games that are being released as official games from Marvel.

Overall this game is going to be catching a lot of popularity the closer it gets to being finished. Although nimSony has yet to say if and when this game is going to be completely ready, we are hoping that this can be a fast release. In the video is seems as though the game is nearly finished and just a few more weeks of developing and designing could really wrap the game up. No matter how you look at it, this game is going to blow every other Spider-Man game out of the water. The physics alone are enough for this game to thrive inside of virtual reality.
