Starting today, if you own a Oculus Rift or Rift S, you are eligible to sign up for two free months on the popular HTC Viveport Infinity gaming subscription. Being a part of this service gives users access to an ungodly amount of great VR titles. There is over 650 games, apps, and videos for you to chose from including hits like “I Expect You To Die” and even “Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs.”
If you have been keeping up with virtual news, you would know that the Oculus Rift S has now supported by the HTC Store and SteamVR. This is all part of a big effort to welcome new users to different platforms, and to ultimately gain new subscribers to the somewhat-new subscription service from HTC. Viveport Infinity is one of the best gamer services you can get for your VR headset, so two free months is nothing to laugh at.
HTC has provided Oculus users a unique and individual code to access the trail, although like any free trial, you will need to put your payment information inside so when the trial runs out, you can be charged. This doesn’t come as a surprise, and it is only fair. To access your redeeming code, simply sign up for Viveport. Once that is done (or you already have an account) click on your profile page and find the page with the title REDEEM. Here, you will gain your personal code and update your payment information.
You can start redeeming your code today, and all through the month of June. This is not just limited to Oculus pC headset users. HTC says that if you ordered the Valve Index, you will be able to redeem two free months as well. This deal will start on June 28th, the date that Valve’s new headset is expected to ship. The two months for the different headsets will end at different times, as the start date is slightly different. The steps are the same for accessing your free months on the Index as well as the Rift and Rift S.
HTC released Viveport Infinity as an upgraded version to Viveport at the beginning of the year 2019. This subscription has been a hit among gamers in virtual reality, although there are some short falls. You are only entitled to five title downloads per month. Although that is a good amount, putting a number on downloads seems a bit stingy. It would make more sense to simply have the limit be five titles in your library at any time of the month, rather than five downloads. Either way, this is a killer deal coming in at a price point of $0.00 for two whole months something that many will take notice to.
If you remember to cancel your subscription before your two months run out, you will walk away with two free, unpaid months of the top gaming subscription virtual reality has to offer. If you don’t opt out of this service, you will be charged with $12.99 per month. This is not a bad deal for the fantastic options Viveport Infinity offers.
