Stan Larroque isn’t the most active person on Twitter, but he sure knows how to captivate an audience. In his sparing tweets, he informs the Lynx community of major updates. His latest tweet? A time and place for a hands-on demo, an invite to come hangout in his company’s booth, and a warning for “tons” of announcements. All of this followed by the rocket emoji, it seems like the company is in store for a huge year.
Stan Larroue is the founder and CEO of Lynx, the creators of the the mixed reality headset Lynx R1. This headset is marketed as one that is capable of both full AR and VR. This means that you will be able to usr the headset as if it were the Valve Index, and then in the same sitting, turn it into a Hololens and have some shared AR experiences. This isn’t the first time this has been done, but Lynx seems to have a firm grasp of the community’s attention.
The hands-on demo will be taking place at the Augmented Reality Event (AWE) in Santa Clara at the end of May. You are able ton contact Stan for a meetup in his booth to test this headset out.
As for the announcements, we haven’t heard anything yet. There will be tons, but we aren’t sure when they will be released. We sure hope we don’t have to wait till May to hear them. If Stan decides to tweet them out, we will be posting about it. He seems to have a great understanding of what people want to hear.
The Lynx R1 headset is available for preorder on the company website today for a deposit of only $150. For more VR news and community updates, make sure to check back at vrgear.com.
