Batman VR Skydiving Coming To San Diego Comic-Con In 4D

0

We are expected to see a handful of super heroes at the comic-con that is hitting San Diego this year, but none will be bigger than Batman and Iron man. The former has a new movie in the making, and the latter just capped off one of the best super hero runs of all time.

DC and AT&T are planning to bring Batman to the virtual headsets once again, and this time they are adding a new dimension to the experience. The pulling factor of this new experience will be the Dark Knight Dive. If you are wondering what that is, read the name of it again and think of the scariest thing you can.

In this VR app you are going to take the role of Batman as he in the pursuit of the long-time enemy Scarecrow. You will be wearing Batman’s mask as you are searching for your foe, high and wide. Scarecrow released his fear toxin into everyone from Gotham, so this is means you are going to have some creepy experiences. You will have hallucinations that will bring back memories of old friends and enemies alike, and they all seem eerily real. This is something that every Batman fan has been waiting for.

While all of this action is taking place inside of a Vive headset, on the outside you will be hovering in a skydive booth. This is sure to be one of the most immersive VR experiences up to date, and we are excited to experience it while it hits San Diego. We are unsure if this experience will be making its rounds across the nation, but we are sure to get more answers in the coming weeks. This is something all fans will want a chance to experience.

This is not the first time Batman has made an appearance with virtual reality. Arkham VR is still one of the best VR games up to date, and the Justice League app that goes with the game has great tie-in potential. We know that when it comes to getting a good game or experience out there, DC will not take any shortcuts for their fans.

We are expected to have a chance to play the Iron Man game at this comic-con, but we are not certain it will have the same type of inclusiveness as the Batman game. Iron Man is being made for the PSVR headset, so the chances of us getting a chance to play while floating side of a skydive booth are very slim.

We will keep you updated with the locations that these two games go to. We are certain Iron Man will make his rounds across the nation, but not so sure on the Batman experience.
