Although we are in the middle of a season themed Operation Nightfall, we are receiving new updates that include a new free map located in Afghanistan and a new contractor you can play with as well. Firewall Zero Hour is just under a year old now, and we have seen new content be uploaded to the game happen regularly. Other than the timing coming as a surprise, this is something we have come to expect from First Contact entertainment.
Operation Nightfall had a rough start on the PSVR platform, as it was plagued by bugs, bad connection, and incomplete sequences often. After this all was taken care of, the studio then started to focus on getting the new content out there. For a while, it wasn’t the first thing on their agendas.
The new map is call FOB and the new contractor is names Lynx. Both will play a role in the missions you are setting out to complete. This map is completely free to all players of the game. Lynx is already one of the favorite players, as he has the ability to revive himself as his special perk. In this video below you can check out First Contact showcase Lynx playing in their new map.
This new map named FOB (forward Operation Base) is different than any map on the game, and introduces new challenges each time you play. This map will randomly be throwing sandstorms your way, which reduces mobility and visibility while you play. This map is larger than most, making it even a harder challenge to get your killing done. The size of the map makes you want to use long-range weapons to finish your missions, but the lack of visibility will hinder the opportunity of that.
With Firewall Hour Zero quickly approaching its one-year old birthday, First Contact has plenty up its sleeves. The game is freshly off of a free weekend for all PS4 users, that included double XP all weekend for those who already had the game purchased. This is an exciting time of the year for Fist Contact, as their game is only getting more popular among PlayStation virtual reality users.
First Contact is also working on a first person shooter for Oculus named Solaris: Offworld Combat. This game is coming to both the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift and Rift S. This may have been a concern for many Oculus owners before last week, as the tracking of the controllers would go out while using guns often. Now with their new updates to the tracking of the new Touch controllers, we can be sure that the new game will leave many in awe.
Which ever headset you are playing First Contact games on, you can be sure that you are going to have a fantastic experience. This studio (which may be bought out by Sony in the near future) is on top of their game at all times. The details they put in to each aspect of their games is truly impressive.
