Beat Saber Updated with New Achievements

0

If you think that you have the skills to reach the top of the leaderboard in Beat Saber, there’s no better time than right now to show your stuff.

A recent update to the Beat Saber software includes the addition of 26 new achievements. These achievements can be played by anyone with the current release of Beat Saber. No additional purchase is required.

While no purchase is necessary, we feel the recent DLC featuring Panic! At the Disco and Imagine Dragons will make reaching all these new player achievements much more enjoyable!

Beat Saber continues to rank at the top of most played single player games in the Steam Store, and is consistently ranked #1 as the best VR game by players on any platform.

The updates to Beat Saber over the past few months that it has been out of early access have been small and incremental. So far, fans remain supportive and excited. But, there is a growing desire for larger music packs, and more variety in music genre (currently, the majority of songs come from the EDM world).

Additional features have been teased for months, including the potential for 360 degree levels as well as a more consistent stream of new songs from more mainstream musicians. But after months of teasing these types of updates, the only new DLC that players have received is 4 new tracks from Panic! at the Disco.

The new Panic! at the Disco songs are fun, the mapping is top notch , but 4 tracks is a small bump in content. The Imagine Dragons music pack include 10 tracks. When comparing the two releases, an unintentional dampening of excitement was inevitable from die-hard Beat Saber fans.

In a recent Tweet, Beat Saber reached out to their fan-base asking if they would prefer larger music packs less often or smaller music packs more often. I think we can confidently answer for everyone and say – Give us larger music packs more often.

The game is #1, the original development effort was done by 2 people. I think it may be time to invest in growing the Beat Games development team and building more levels for Beat Saber faster!
