Vader Immortal To Get The Force In Next Episode

0

Next week we are seeing the Star Wars smash hit Vader Immortal: Episode 1 become available on the Oculus Rift. This comes as a surprise that we are seeing it come this early to the Rift, (as this game was intended to only be a Quest exclusive) but as a whole, we expect this game to make its rounds on all Oculus platforms, as it is the biggest exclusive title they have.

We know the first installment of this series was a thrilling adventure, and we know that Star Wars is planning to make at least two more episodes. With everything we know about this series, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Will the games follow the same story line? Will they be in different eras of the Star Wars world? Will we ever have the ability to be one of out characters? There is a lot we want, and a lot we are expecting out of the next two Vader Immortal games.

If you were or are a big fan of Star Wars, you’d be lying if you said you never secretly tested to see if you had the force. Ultimately you failed, and that was that. Nothing else to be seen, and no one would ever hear about that secret experience of yours. In the first episode of this game, most of the story line too had one hand free. This never really played a role in the series, as you had to fight off masses with your lightsaber. It was consuming your thoughts.

True Star Wars fans and many creative minds had an idea. Utilize your free hand to wield the true powers of the Force. This was hinted a few times throughout the gameplay, but was never used inside of the fighting itself.

“I think, again, it is such a huge part of everyone’s Star Wars fantasy and everyone who, again, has watched the movies at some point kind of reached out and pretended what it would be like if I could, y’know, move an object with the power of my mind,” Leo said. “And so the second episode will really lean into that and try to fulfill that fantasy of what it’s like to be able to use the Force.”

This could be a very real possibility for this next game, and they will have many options on how they will active it in the game. The Quest and Rift controllers have great grip buttons that make complex activities, like the Force, seamless. There is no doubt that there will be some type of gripping that will happen for the Force to active in your virtual hands.

Getting haptics involved would be a fantastic idea for the Quest and the Rift. Imagine feeling the pressure against your hand as you hold off a robot with the Force through haptics. This is something that could help the series feel even more natural and real. Something it has done a great job already of doing.

This series hasn’t told us when the second episode is going to be announced or releases, and there is no word on whether it will be released on the Quest and Rift at the same time. Until then, keep checking back for more VR news.
