‘The Under Presents’ Gets New Features, Launches on Rift Platform

0

Just one day after receiving the Immersive Storytelling award from Oculus, The Under Presents has a large update. This is bringing new features to the experience as well as the full application to the Rift Platform. This is the first major update that the interactive game has seen, and we are excited to report it for you today.

Today’s update to the game includes custom masks to upgrade and enhance your list, new areas to explore in the open world, and more interactive puzzles to try to solve. There are also new interactions with live actors inside of the game, so grab your headset and get going right now!

The developers of The Under Presents, Tender Claws, the same developers as hit game Virtual Virtual Reality, clearly spent some extra time polishing this game. This update only adds to the idea of what you need to work with your past self to complete levels and puzzles. You will also have the option to redo the introduction when you meet the narrator.

New and Updated Control Guide

Oculus released some tips on the new controls and how to use them. Although they aren’t incredibly new, they are interactive and are going to help you complete more and more puzzles.

  • Scrunch (teleport): Look in the direction you want to teleport. In one hand, hold down the top button (Y or B) while bringing your hand horizontally toward your body. The world should fold in around you like an accordion, then unfold to move you in the direction of your gaze.
  • Grab (pick-up): Use the grip buttons on the side of your controller to manipulate objects.
  • Snap (clap): Squeeze the trigger to show appreciation for an act or other players.

If you are looking to take your current mask off, simply put the controller near your face, pull down, and then release the grip button. Once your mask is off, more exploration abilities and new game abilities will be at your disposal. Run around and see what new thing you can do inside of this amazing game.  For more VR news and community updates, make sure to check back at VRGear.com
