PSVR To Add 5 Games This Week

0

Over the last month or so, we have seen and heard reports of a second version of PSVR. Although we know that it will eventually be true, we have no timeline. In fact, we have heard rumblings that the new headset may not even launch with the PS5, which is still 14 months away.

During E3 last week, we were hoping for some insight on what could be for Sony in the virtual worlds. We got next to nothing when it comes to hardware, although we got some great news about titles coming out on the PlayStation virtual reality headsets. At least we didn’t go the whole week without getting anything from PlayStation! Here is a list and description of each game that you can expect to see in the coming week.

Luna

If you love virtual fairytales, you are going to love Luna. In this role-playing game, you are a bird that is blown far from your home while in pursuit of the last piece of the moon. (Hang in there, it gets better). The player must untangle this birds memory while solving puzzles to unlock each levels plant, tree, and spirit animal. After unlocking, you can plant said trees and plants back into your earth to help the moon-less creature’s planet.

This storyline is sure to keep your on your virtual toes, as each turn there is going to be a new and fun twist.

Mars Alive

If you saw the movie The Martian and enjoyed it, you are going to love this game. In that movie,  Mark Watney (played by Matt Damon) finds himself on Mars alone. He has to learn to make and monitor his food, water, oxygen levels, and even temperature. In this game you will be exactly the same type of tasks.

You will need to learn and use the best combination of crops, temperature of garden, water intake of crops, and even humidity to sustain enough food. Throughout all of these tasks, you are going to need to explore the rough terrain of Mars. Good luck with that one.

Mini-Mech Mayhem

This is the complete opposite of Luna and Mars Alive. This is no role-play storyline that you have come to expect and love from a PSVR title. This game will incorporate comedy into a table-top strategic multi-player game. This game is a big colorful version of chess. You can play by yourself, or get four other players to join you. This will keep you entertained for hours on end, as there are so many different ways to get a win in this game mode.

Slum Ball

This is a fun European twist to paddle ball. You would usually have a wooden paddle and a ball. Not in this game. This game features the classic flip flop as your hitting stick, and a can of some sort used beverage. This comes as no surprise, as simple games in VR seem to be sorted out quickly. Expect this game to bring both familiarity and freshness to your PSVR headset.

Vacation Simulator

This game was released on PC just a few weeks ago, and it has been a complete hit. In this game you have the option to vacation in three different areas. You have the beach, forest, and mountain to keep you entertained and relaxed. You will be able to choose just about any activity you could imagine in the respective areas. This game first didn’t sound great, and then you try it. It is definitely a need if you own a virtual reality headset. This is a virtual vacation like no other.
