PSVR Still Getting Budget Cuts, BC2 Updates Coming to PC VR

0

The long awaited Budget Cuts is still coming to PSVR, but it is taking much longer than the studio was ever hoping for. The developers, Neat Corp, took to twitter last week to confirm that the PSVR version of their hit game is still in the works and that it was going to be making an appearance soon.

It was expected to be first released back in 2019, but that never happened. Many were led on to believe that the game would be announced at E3 in June, but again, it never happened. Not all hope is is lost! The team has proof they are working on it, and even the optimizations are “done” too.

The company saying that the optimizations are done and they don’t have a for sure release date sounds familiar. Many PSVR games get finished and then submitted to PlayStation and Sony for review. Although they never said this is what is going on, there is still reason to believe that could be the case. If it were, a supra launch to make millions happy would be very possible.

If the game hasn’t been submitted, we likely are looking at a released until the summer months. It could change, but that seems like the most realistic timeline right now.

Budget Cuts 2 Updates

Neat Corp also confirmed that their latest game, Budget Cuts 2, would be getting a huge PC update. This has already been a fantastic update to the first game. Theres better physics, better AI enemies, and even improved graphics. This game hasn’t been perfect though, as we are hoping to see this sizable update attack the numerous bugs that seem to be riddling the gameplay more often than not.

As for BC2 on the PSVR system, there is no word. That would not come before the first game anyway, so we would be more than a year away from that. As for the Oculus Quest, there are still rumblings about both versions making it the standalone headset.

Through the Oculus Link Beta, you can play this game on your PC with your Quest. If you disconnect though, you won’t be finding this title in the store. It is more likely to see the second version of the game come to the Quest platform, as it is much more likely to be up to Facebook’s gaming standards.
