MRTV is a hit Youtube channel that is based out of Germany from VR enthusiast Sebastian Ang. He recently launched his own Kickstarter that is being called the MRTC Experience. This is intended to invite the paying public to come try out different virtual reality headsets, all of which are new and great. He is planning on having the location based out of Dortmund, Germany. This is where his new studio will be moving to as well.

The Kickstarter launched in mid-August this year and is offering pre-sales of tickets on the homepage of the campaign. The location-based VR park is going to let curious wanderers try virtual reality up to 90 minutes. This will give the users a good idea on what virtual reality is, how far it has come, all on the latest and greatest headsets that top companies have to offer. Ang states that he will personally show the attendees throughout their time and how to navigate the virtual worlds.

His mission statement for the Kickstarter is as follows “My name is Sebastian Ang and around 2 years ago I started MRTV, a YouTube channel dedicated to my biggest passion: Virtual Reality.

My mission for MRTV from the very beginning has always been to provide consumers with independent VR hardware reviews that they can trust so they can make educated buying decisions. And until today I am still believing in this mission.

I am now bringing MRTV to the next level by moving out of the tiny spare room at my mom’s place where all of the MRTV videos were produced up until now. I am moving into a dedicated studio to create the MRTV Headquarter.  The MRTV Headquarter will allow me to produce videos and live shows of much higher productions values and it will be home of the MRTV Experience.”

Ang, as many know, has a wide variety of virtual reality headsets that he can show off to his MRTV Experience customers. The list is long and full of star power, as it includes the Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift S, Samsung Odyssey Plus, Vive Pro, HP Reverb, Valve Index, Pimax 5K Plus, Pimax 5K XR, HTC Vive Cosmos, and StarVR One. The StarVR One is meant for business uses, but can be used by anyone with the right intentions. All other headsets are mostly for gaming and media consumption.

Because Ang is so popular amongst the virtual reality community, there has been an overwhelming amount of support for him and his idea. He spread what he was doing long before it went live, and that saved him in the end. The Kickstarter reached its goal and was 100% funded in just 7 minutes of going live. Now that may sound fast, that may sound slow, but 420 seconds after going live, MRTV Experience raised over 3,000 euros. No mater which way you spin that fact, it is very impressive. In just 24 hours of going live, the Kickstarter doubled its funding goal. The man has immense support in whatever he is doing.

Right now, on Monday morning August 26, the funding has quadrupled for nearly 14,000 euros. This is going to give more funding to the goal that Ang didn’t even know he needed. This is going to give more PCs for the VR headsets and even upgraded camera that are going to be used for motion capturing.

With only 5 days to go until the end of the campaign, Ang is likely expecting a few thousand more dollars. The industry is expecting big things from the German, and he is ready to deliver.
