Virtual reality is a great experience for anyone that is wearing the headset, and that is sometimes the problem. VR is such an isolated experience that it singles one person out completely, and in doing that no one else gets a view at all. They are just left there watching you look silly with some headgear.

Viewr is now capable for developers to include in the games software, and is capable of making the VR world more sharable and interactive. In just about every headset other than the Oculus Go, there is no way to view what the player is seeing inside. Now with Viewr, there is a way to observe what is happening.

Viewr is different from any other viewing of the VR world. Viewr is not the typical headset view, but rather a view from a spectators perspective. Its as if you were looking through whole different perspective of a different lens or headset of your own. This always the spectator to see the whole picture of what is going on, and making it a new fun experience for them as well.

Chang-Yi Yao, the CEO of #include, the company that has made Viewr possible for developers stated “Virtual reality is a really exciting and fun experience, but it is extremely difficult to share what is happening inside the VR headset in a meaningful way. Seeing what the player is seeing through a computer screen or TV does not give you the spatial information required for the full picture that an observer needs to fully appreciate VR. With Viewr, VR games can now be something that more than what one person can experience easily — all without the additional expensive, complicated set-up. You just connect to your computer through the app and use your phone as a camera to see what your friend is doing in VR.”

Above, the picture shows exactly what it would look like from the phone or the device that you’re using to view.

Viewr has to have two different parts to be working. The PC has to be running it and talking to the other device which is also running Viewr. Using the tracker inside the headset, it communicates with the phone on where to be in position to have the best angles and the best views possible. Viewr also works with many interfaces and really is a one-stop app for any and all VR interaction outside the headset.

Viewr is already available today as a mod for some games, and the idea is for most developers to build it inside of their games, really making it a fun experience for everyone involved. #include has only two employees, and started just in June 2018 and those two are already making splashes and headlines. Expect much more from this company in the near and distant future.
